Kathy Quan RN BSN
Kathy Quan RN BSN PHN is the owner and editor-in-chief of THE NURSING SITE. She has over 30 years of experience as a nurse. She earned her BSN PHN at California State University, Los Angeles. Her primary focus has been home health care and hospice where she has had to become somewhat of a "jack of all trades." She has been a field nurse, nursing supervisor, staff educator, and a QI (quality improvement) specialist for a variety of non-profit and for-profit home health and hospice agencies throughout Los Angeles and Ventura counties.

For over 3 years, Kathy was the Guide to Nursing at About.com. The Nursing site closed in November 2007 when About.com combined it into a site for all health careers. Many of the articles Kathy wrote for Nursing.About.com have been transferred to this new site and it's companion blog, The Nursing Site Blog.

Kathy also writes and maintains two websites for home health care professionals: Housecalls-Online.com and HomeHealth101.com.
She is a primary contributing author of Booklets and Toolkits, and the Best Practices Newsletter at SupportForNurses.com.
